At <a href=\"http:\/\/www.straatmanmooringsystems.com\">Straatman Mooring Systems<\/a>, we design and manufacture capstans that support reliable handling of mooring lines in ports and terminals worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mooring capstans<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>A mooring capstan is a fixed installation used to guide mooring lines from the vessel to the quay. It supports controlled line handling during berthing and unberthing. Straatman Mooring Systems supplies capstans as an integrated part of <a href=\"https:\/\/straatmanmooringsystems.com\/mooring-systems\/quick-release-mooring-hook\/\">quick release mooring hook<\/a> units. In addition, we offer free-standing vertical capstans. These can be combined with bollards or standard quick release hooks. Each capstan is designed to match the specific application. Vessel type, layout and operational requirements are always taken into account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Safety and performance<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Our mooring capstans are driven by electric, hydraulic, or pneumatic motors. This makes the berthing process safer and more efficient. The operating height can be adjusted to suit practical working conditions.
