Straatman Mooring Systems is a Dutch company specializing in safe and reliable mooring systems, supplying customers worldwide. Our products include Quick Release Mooring Hooks, Berthing Aid Systems and the SafeCom Ship-to-Shore Link. We also offer a solar power system for maritime use and the patented Smart Bollard.
Founded in 1902 as a machine factory in the Netherlands, the company grew step by step into a specialist in equipment for the maritime industry. Today, Straatman is part of the Straatman Group, consisting of four Dutch companies, each specialized in designing and manufacturing products for the maritime industry. Together, we develop reliable, project-specific solutions that are used in ports, terminals and vessels worldwide. With more than a century of experience, we continue to build solid products and support our customers every step of the way.
Our Heritage
Our roots go back to 1902, when L. Straatman founded the original company in Dordrecht. Today, Straatman has grown into two specialized businesses: Straatman Mooring Systems and Straatman Dredging & Construction. Together, under Straatman Global, we serve the maritime industry with trusted, Dutch-engineered solutions.

We continuously improve our products and develop practical solutions. Therefore, innovation remains a core part of our approach. Over the years, we have introduced systems that support safer and more efficient maritime operations.
For example, we developed an autonomous Solar Power System that delivers reliable green energy in remote and offshore locations. In addition, our Smart Bollard provides ports with real-time insight into mooring forces. As a result, operators gain better control and clearer data during mooring operations.
